This joyous, laudable, and consolidating event was held at Talkatora Stadium (Ridge Road), New Delhi, on 8th September 2018, the main objective of which was to nurture a common platform and a friendly and constructive environment for the northeastern students and professionals in the national capital, who are either studying in Delhi or are desirous of coming to the capital city for higher education. Hon’ble Union Minister for Home Affairs, Government of India, Shri. Rajnath Singh Ji had graced this euphoric event as the Chief Guest.Additional aim of this event was to showcase the rich heritage of the “Ashtalakshami” States of the North-East India, highlighting their ethnic cultures and festival dances, and the exotic traditional dresses of people residing there. This mega-gathering musical and cultural event was organized by My Home India, in association with Himalayan University of Itanagar and many others.
Speaking at “NESt. FEST 2018", Hon'ble Cabinet Minister (Home) Shri. Rajnath Singh Ji said that North-East India is certainly a highly significant and vital part of India, and without due development in the northeastern States, India can never be a developed nation. Famous singer of Bollywood Zubeen Garg (who belongs to Jorhat, Assam) and the winner of Indian Ideal-4, SourabheeDebbarma,entertained the massive audience fully, at the event to which entry was free.
