Himalayan University, a prestigious University in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, has recently been honored with efficacious award named the "Emerging Higher Education Institutions in India". This illustrious award was given to Himalayan University at the virtual event, held on 28 November 2020. Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd along with Business World conferred the award. The Vice-Chancellor of the Himalayan University, Prof. H.S Sharma received the award and said, “It is a proud moment for the faculties, staffs, and students of the University who worked relentlessly hard to uplift the name of the University in the sphere of higher education”. The Chairman of AICTE, Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe and the Additional Secretary NITI AAYOG of India, Sh R. Ramanan were the jury chair for the award.

The Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh has recently honored with momentous award named as the “Award for Excellence in Learning & Pedagogical Advancement” in September 2019. This exalting and very significant award was given to Himalayan University during the magnificent award ceremony of the '3 rd ASMA Annual Convention & Awards 2019', which was held in Mumbai from 16 th to 17 th September 2019. This award will certainly boost further the ingenuity and dedication of the university towards extending superlative higher education of international standards in the northeastern India and regions across the country at large.

Visionary Himalayan University of Itanagar, received the Certificate of Recognition of being "Excellent Progressive University (North-East)" during the mega educational event of the '12thWorld Education Summit 2018', which was held in Delhi from 9th-10th August 2018, organized by internationally famous institution eLetsTechnomedia Pvt. Ltd. This award was received by university's Vice Chancellor Prof. H.S. Sharma from the Director of AICTE, Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that "Himalayan University is steadily progressing in respect of Campus, Teaching, Faculties, and Students since its inception, and is taking every necessary step to become one of the prominent universities of the nation".

On 19th May 2018, thriving Himalayan University won the recognition of being "One Among Top Five Best Private Universities in East and North-East India" from DIALOGUE INDIA in Delhi, during its 6th Academia Awards ceremony. This magnificent awards ceremony was organized in IIT Delhi by Dialogue India in association with the Department of Designs, IIT Delhi. The Certificate of Excellence was granted to Prof. S. P. Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Himalayan University by the Chief Guest of this mega educational event, Smt. Krishna Raj, Hon'ble Union State Minister, Govt. of India, and in gracious presence of Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE, and Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi.

On 29th July 2017, fast-paced and prestigious Himalayan University won another magnificent award to add to its unmatched caliber and international renown. Named as the "Outstanding Support for Career Researchers 2017 Award", this exalting and dignifying award was given by eminent singer Padam Shree Pankaj Udhas in New Delhi. The glamorous award ceremony was held under the auspices of NIER India and ACS Media.

On 20th May 2017, booming Himalayan University (Itanagar) received an affluent Certificate of Excellence for attaining the "1st Rank Among Private Universities in Arunachal Pradesh" from DIALOGUE INDIA. This high awardwas given to prestigious Himalayan University during the '5th Dialogue India Academia Awards 2017' in Delhi.

This magnificent educational event was organized by internationally eminent institution College & Campus, and this award was presented by Hon'ble Governor of Goa, Smt. Mridula Sinha.

Progressing fast with admirable pace, Himalayan University now won the award of being the "University of the Year - East" on 26th May 2016, granted by FRANCHISE INDIA. This exalting and dignifying award was given during the grand ceremony of the INDIAN EDUCATION AWARDS 2016 (6th National Awards on Excellence in Education), which was held during May 26-27, 2016 at Surajkund, Delhi.
